Con's persuasive, thorough and detailed approach to his legal work, combined with his friendly and positive disposition are valued by clients and staff alike. Con regularly acts for clients in matters involving a wide range of bankruptcy, corporate insolvency and business and commercial disputes.
Con is a member of the Law Council of Australia and regularly participates in the Business Law Section - Insolvency & Restructuring Committee meetings in Melbourne.
Con is also a Professional Member of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association, Australia’s leading organisation for restructuring, insolvency and turnaround professionals.
After entering the legal profession in Melbourne, Con moved to Hobart joined the Insolvency and Trustee Service Australia in the Estate Administration area, gaining experience in both the legal and practical aspects of Bankruptcy and Personal Insolvency. Upon returning to Melbourne he gained further experience in civil/commercial litigation (including Debt Recovery), bankruptcy and corporate insolvency/liquidations (including Deeds of Company Arrangement and Preference Claims) and employment law (including Employment Contracts and Unfair Dismissals).
In 2005, Con joined Hutchinson Legal and has worked primarily in the areas of Bankruptcy and Insolvency, Commercial Litigation and Employment Law. He became a partner of the firm in 2009.
A keen Western Bulldogs supporter, Con manages to balance his legal commitments with a range of sporting and outdoor adventure pursuits including downhill skiing, cycling, indoor soccer and travel.
